Serapid has an extensive line
of both standard
QDX products and custom engineered special
QDX products. The following table highlights how these
pieces of transfer and transport equipment are integrated into complete
quick die change and quick mold change solutions. |
| |
|
Option 1- Clamps, basic
die-transfer equipment, racks.
The first Option to
QDX is always to find and install the right
clamps. For small to medium-sized press
facilities, consider the sequence of upgrades illustrated
below. In Option 1, basic die transfer equipment is
used: a manual loading table, a smaller type of the
GPO Truck, a MM multipurpose fork-lift truck and/or
a TPCH fork-lift attachment.

Option
A - Die carts on rails.
On large factory floors,
die
carts running on rails will achieve
best die Xchange times.

Option
B - Rolling-bolster systems.
When the press bed
is at ground level, a rolling
bolster can make a very efficient solution.
The bolster is pulled out of and pushed into the press
by a transfer device that may be used on several different
presses. Our rolling-bolster QDX systems use long,
bar-like T-slot
clamps that cover the entire length
of the bolster and include die rollers.

|
Option
2 - die rollers, consoles and push-pull units.
In Option 2, with
increasing Xchange rates and/or die weights, presses
are fitted with die rollers/lifters and loading bolster
extensions. In addition, our PPS
- Push-Pull System a press-mounted
or mobile loading device, can be used.

Die
trucks are efficient and flexible.
Our trucks range in capacity from 0.5 to 25 tons,
they are available with single and double load platforms,
controlled by operators walking behind or ridding
on board. (not sold in the U.S.A.)
