On September 11 and 12, 2006, Serapid held a training
session for its U.S. Sales Representatives.
The training was held at Serapid's U.S. Headquarters
in Sterling Heights, Mich. Approximately 15 sales representatives
attended from all over the United States.
The training began with Serapid President, Said
Lounis welcoming the guest and giving a brief history of the company
and its growth over the past 30 years. He also highlighted what
distinguishes Serapid from its competitors.
Quick Die Change (QDX) was the main topic discussed by Sales
Manager Thom Tinetti over the course of the two days. A tour of
the Serapid plant was given and the reps were shown one of the company's
most recent projects, a custom-engineered two-position die cart
with a floor-mounted push-pull system.
The group also was given a tour of another nearby
plant of a contract stamping company, where a Serapid raised rolling
bolster system is in stalled. The group was able to witness a die
change using Serapid's products.
The group was also given tools detailing how Serapid's
QDX Solutions can save companies time and money.
Overall, the sales representatives unanimously agreed
that they learned much more extensive information than they could
from a brochure or a catalog, and found the training to be very
informational
