Serapid, Inc, a leader in stage engineering solutions,
was recently awarded the contract for the Prescott Valley Library
Project in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Serapid will be responsible for providing the
mechanical lift for the Prescott Valley City Council meeting room.
This project is significant for Serapid because of the unique
architectural application.
The lift at the Prescott Valley Library will consist
of six Serapid LinkLift 50 lifting columns. The LinkLift is a
rigid chain lifting column that accommodates high trim lifting
applications quietly, smoothly and safely.
The square links of the LinkLift work like building
blocks to form a tower stack. The shape and locking technique
allow it to be capable of extra-high rigidity and strength. It
can lift up to 22,000 pounds, and is able to absorb tensile forces,
such as those found through seismic vibrations or the wave motions
on a cruise ship.
For over 30 years, Serapid has designed and manufactured
their unique Rigid Chain products. Originally designed for industrial
applications, the Serapid horizontal and vertical Rigid Chains
are utilized regularly in architectural applications as well.
Thus adding dynamic features to building structures.
